why microsoft will lose

in this story about the zune, this was the NYT headline:
Microsoft Updates Its iPod Competitor
the headline can't even mention the zune by name, but only in reference to the ipod. genius. i didn't come up with this myself (obv.), but this is the ipod market, not the mp3 one.

The Zune is basically that mp3 thing Roy got for Pam on The Office. Jim's totally gonna buy her the real deal now that they're together. He's quality.

You are wrong here, it is a portable media market. And the iPod is only big among English speaking regions.

I agree, the ipod and its many different varieties and the millions of 99 cent songs are overtaking the mp3 world!! The zune has less songs less variety (what they are up to like 3 different zunes?) and is always expensive. On the flip side it is too bad apple is doing everything else horribly wrong in the ways of computers.
