real world las vegas reunited
everything i hoped for ... and more.
some of you, who went to an academically competitive high school, may remember a time when you were worried about your place in life. that your peers were smarter than you and that life after high school and college would be tough or challenging. you somehow formed an inferiority complex despite multiple AP classes.
then you watched season 12 of real world, and realized everything would be OK.
and if you thought 5 years to get older, wiser, more mature would also mean 5 years to get boring, then you'd be wrong. these kids booze/sex/fight like champs!
trishelle = disgusting
brynn = 2 kids, really?
frank = still a total tool. but hot.
steve = undecided, but the preview for next ep is intriguing
alton = still a moron
aryssa = still psycho, but i totally believe your story over alton's
irulan = cute hair, but you can do so much better than ninja turtle look-alike alton

i can't wait for this season.. the first episode was not action filled enough, but i did like the irulan arissa fight. i just can't believe they're 26 and doin the show.
Yes, this show has much promise. We had the same take on Brynn. I didn't quite know what to make of Trashelle. She actually didn't really register one way or the other to me. Frank seemed like a nice enough guy five years ago, but he never struck me as having much pimp juice, certainly not on an Alton-like level.
But the most fascinating aspect of this episode to me was Arissa's not-so-cryptic reference to bad decisions she had made in the interim. Tiffany saw her and immediately thought "crackhead" before she even opened her mouth, and when she started talking about bad decisions, I was like, "omg, you called it!" I'm just really curious as to what these "bad decisions" are, the circumstances behind her losing contact with all of the housemates (Irulan and Alton -- understandable, but why the others?), what her rock bottom was and how (if?) she came back. But like you said, I believe her story over Alton's.
