i sort of wonder who the best paid prof is

not exactly breaking news, but i always find it interesting to see who really are the most important people at michigan. seems as if i have to go into education to make the big bucks. or something.

this makes me so fucking mad. it's not funny whatsoever. it's absolute bullshit. the state is in financial crisis, tuition is rising (every semester!), and these people are making amounts equivalent to or greater than what my parents' house is worth! and for what? for being goddamn figureheads!

i'm going to go make some illegal free copies at my department's copy room to act out my emotions and to protest ridiculous salaries and even more ridiculous salary hikes.

Hey, take it easy Jessica. Why does it bother you so much what these people make? The University wouldn't be paying them that much if they didn't think it was worth it. In order to compete with the Ivy League schools, the University has to fork over the cash to keep the top talent, not to mention that a lot of these people could make more money in the private sector.
